ANNUAL PRECONFERENCE BOARD MEETING

MINUTES

President PS Chapter, Russell Kent

Director of Catering for WCC
Ken Boyle briefed the board on the services provided. Meal count was significantly increased due to the final count. Final attendance of 300 individuals including members, associate members and vendors.

Ken talked about the layout for the Presidents Reception and the coordination. He also explained the food service layout.
Speaker introduction assignments were made.

Awards
Geoff Glass and Steve Grose mentioned awards for Associate Member of the Year and Member of the Year. Plagues are to be ordered following the conference. (Follow up; President 09 Brad Jones is taking care of the matter.)

CHAPTER REPORTS

PS Chapter:
Sec./Treas Jim Mead reported the Pete Peterson Scholarship fund was a tremendous success. They cleared $6700. PS Chapter also reported that they have 296 paid members, which are up 30% from a year ago. PS Chapter also reported on interesting training they are providing at future meetings. Coming up are sessions on dampers and L&I.

SW Chapter:
Sec./Treas Ray Tiedemann reported on training and annual dinner in Oct with a Chapter Golf event.

Eastern Chapter:
Pres and WSSHE Pres Elect 09 Brad Jones reported on the activities of his chapter. They have presented high quality training sessions during their chapter meetings. This included presentations on LED Lighting, Boiler and Chiller Chemical, UPS and Dirty Power, as well as a session on Chillers.

Scholarships
All three chapters reported on their efforts to recruit additional members to ASHE

Advocacy Issues
Review by Geoff Glass, Phil Kercher and Steve Grose.
