Membership Benefits
The Washington State Society for Healthcare Engineering (WSSHE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the healthcare engineering profession across Washington State.
As a WSSHE member, you receive:

Membership Details
WSSHE offers four membership categories for individuals who support the Society’s mission and values. Annual dues are collected at the time of joining and each calendar year thereafter. The membership year runs January 1 – December 31.
Please note: WSSHE does not prorate or refund dues based on the month of joining.
Membership Categories
Professional Member — $50
Open to individuals actively employed in healthcare-related facilities that provide patient care and who have responsibilities tied to healthcare facility operations.
This includes professionals in facilities management, plant engineering, design and construction, security, safety, clinical engineering, contracted facility management, or telecommunications.
Privileges: May vote, serve on committees, and hold office.
Business Partner — $75
Designed for individuals or representatives whose organizations provide professional, technical, or consulting services—or sell products or services—to healthcare facilities or systems, but who are not healthcare providers themselves.
Examples include: planners, consultants, architects, interior designers, engineers, manufacturers, vendors, flooring companies, medical gas services, restoration services, HVAC/boiler maintenance, and healthcare facilities inspectors.
Privileges: May vote and serve on committees but may not hold office.
Retired Member — No Dues
Available to individuals who have fully retired and are no longer affiliated with a vendor organization or hospital facility, but who wish to remain engaged with the Society.
Privileges: May vote and serve on committees. May hold office only if they maintain an active CHFM, FASHE, or SASHE designation.
Honorary Member — No Dues
Granted by the Board of Directors to distinguished individuals nominated by a WSSHE Chapter.
Privileges: May participate in chapter and general membership meetings and enjoy the same privileges as Business Partner Members.
Chapter Participation
WSSHE is a statewide organization, and membership automatically includes access to all chapters.
